 Field Study Friday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY!!!!

Today the students got to live it up in the beautiful warm weather and work on developing their understanding of mixtures! We have begun our chemistry unit! Students learned the difference between heterogenous and homogenous mixtures and had the chance to create a mixture, classify it, and then attempt to separate it. They were very enthusiastic working with a students from the other grade 5 classes. It was great to see them 'dig' in to our topic as well as branch out and work with friends from Ms. Gadbois' and Ms. Mundy's classes. 

We also had some great expert presentations from Joshua and Lincoln today! They did an awesome job sharing information on their topics as well as practicing their presenting skills!
